Happy Homemaker Monday March 19, 2018

Rebecca's Hearth and Home: Happy Homemaking Monday - January 15, 2018

Monday already?!?! Where has time flown by too! Last week was insanely busy!
It seems like my days has ran together.
This weekend was a wild whirlwind of a flare and church things that needed to be done!
I am praying this week is not as crazy as last as we anticipate
my youngest 18th Birthday Saturday.
My babies are no longer babies, but beautiful young woman.
Well I will stop my rambling and get on with my favorite link-up!
Head on over and join on the fun at the Diary of a Stay at Home Moms Happy Homemaker Monday! There are some amazing ladies blogs that I love reading behind! just click below to join in!

The Weather IS:
Man I really wish spring would come and stay! I am really ready for 70 degree weather. Morning on the patio sipping coffee and having breakfast outside.

On My Plate:
Since it is more like lunch time lol... I will be having a turkey sandwich with spicy mustard.... with strawberry flavored water and maybe some pringles...

As I Look Outside:
You can almost see spring whispering outside, that it is ready to come... However old man winter is not ready to let go quite yet!
even though its kinda gloomy out today. The hwy is busy... It makes me want to slow down and enjoy the day around me... Instead of rushing through one task to another.

On The Table Beside Me:
The TV remotes, a yeti full of cold water, and my cell phone.

On My Reading Pile:
Honestly I have nothing at the moment... Life has been so busy I have had no time to even choose a book to read... I look forward to summer and the hopes to have time to read.

Movies and Shows:
I need to catch up  on Alienist and When Calls the Heart. I binged watched Murder Maps on Netflix at night last week! I really enjoyed it.

On My TV:
At The moment nothing at all! The house is still and quite...

On the Menu This Week:
Monday- My husband is fixing his special chicken dish!
Tuesday: Lemon and garlic salmon, broccoli and roasted potatoes
Wednesday: Pork Chops, mashed red potatoes and herbs, with a side salad.
Thursday: Pasta of some kind
Friday: Grilled chicken salads
Saturday: Out to eat to celebrate my youngest

On My To Do List:
Today I am making myself rest
clean house
I have a couple of Dr's appointments this week
prepare for school
try to catch up on some writing
I hope to begin taking one room at a time and spring cleaning till the whole house is done!

Looking Around the House:
I can sure tell its been lived in this week... It will be okay till tomorrow though.... I will tidy everything up and out it in its place then!

In My Craft Basket:
Honestly probably not much for the next few weeks...I have a lot to get done in and around the house.

From The Camera:
The middle schoolers have been studying the solar system so all of them made nebula jars in                            school last week! The High schoolers enjoyed it as much as the younger ones!
Our Sweet little maltipoo London was cold one morning! She normally hates to be wrapped up... She wasn't feeling well this morning and was shivering... she looked so cute I couldn't resist taking her                                                                                  picture.
What am I wearing:
I am not gonna lie, I don't feel great today, so it is a stay in your lounge pants and oversized t-shirt kinda day.

One of my simple pleasures:
Days that are spent with out rushing around and taking each moment as it comes....These days are far and few... I do love them when I have them.

Favorite Photo of the Week:
Sometimes we all just need a reminder... My medicine has caused me to gain quite a bit of weight... I have really struggled with it lately... Normally I am not that girl.... I have had to remind myself that these past years has been trying ... That even if I cant loose all the weight .... Its just a number and it doesn't define me.
Praying For:
Our Ministry, My sweet friends church Sound Side Missionary Baptist Church, My Youngest she is trying to decide what she wants to do after graduation, My oldest is trying to decide which hospital she wants to work in, there are many who are sick, also Bella who is battling cancer, and the list could go on for days. I am glad I serve a God who knows all of our request!

In Closing..... I can not thank you enough for sharing a portion of your day with me! I know for me time is precious and I love moments when I get to hop over and read every ones blogs. I am praying for you this week . I hope its blessed ~ Shellie

Thank You Pastors Wives

Sometimes my most favorite time of day…. Is when my house is quite and all of those I loved are sleeping soundly in their beds…
This has been one of those wild roller coaster ride weeks.
You know the ones when everything seems like it’s starting out calm and peaceful… Then before you know it everything around you has speed up and your gliding at full speed turned upside down.
Sometimes things can become so overwhelming that the only person you know to talk to is your a Daddy in heaven.
When your a Pastor’s wife we often find ourselves secluding ourselves from the world. We only allow you to see the part of our lives that we think is ministry worthy. Because such high expectations are placed on our homes.
We want so much to be the Godly example to all of those around us.
That we forget we need someone as well.
We all need that someone we can vent to that we can trust and know what we say will stay wholly with them.
Because after all a friend loveth at all times. Even when we feel like we are hanging upside down mid air.

Most pastors wives are often overlooked. She works endlessly behind the scenes at her church along serving her family full time. She shares her husband and her family time with a Church congregation.
Never really asking for anything in return. Some are afraid to be our friends because they don’t want us to know their families flaws.
However at the end of the day her family is just like yours!
Her husband’s  calling is just different from yours.
March is quickly approaching… It is set aside as Pastors Wife Appreciation month!
If you treasure your Pastors Wife. Make sure to let her know! Pick up the phone and tell her how much you appreciate her!
Spend time with her and get to know her!
Offer to take her to lunch!
Most of all pray for her ! Let her know just how loved she is !
Make sure she knows you appreciate all she does… After all a Pastor's family is a team. They strive to work hard together …. To make sure the ministry that God has called them to, is the best it can be!
I want to take this time to tell all the pastors wives out there! You rock and your doing an awesome job! Thank you for all you do in your home and in your church!
This past Sunday our church celebrated me... It began in Children's Church the kids presented me with flowers, a card, and a cookie cake! After Children's church,I was asked to come up stairs and the church presented me with flowers, a card with an American Gift Certificate and a love offering! They also prepared a covered dish dinner.
It made me feel so special to know that they appreciate the things I do! However I must say I have an amazing Pastor to serve with!

Happy Homemaker Monday March 12,2018

This past week has been one of my favorite kinds of weeks for the most part! We spent a couple days with chosen family in a quaint little town of Columbia, North Carolina! I was so nice to be able to unplug and just be there with them.
We got home late Friday night... Our feet hit the ground running and honestly hasn't slowed down yet. This morning our bipolar weather has held  off school for one more day. So today I choose to rest, before the chaos of life catches up with me again.
I am linking up with Sandra over at a Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.
