I can not believe August is already almost gone! This year has flown by, and before we know we will be in 2019!
We have had another busy week! I believe this one will be just as busy if not more so! We did however have a wonderful time celebrating my sweet Mamma's birthday this week!
Today I am linking up with Sandra over at A Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom! If you would like to join in on the fun just clink the link below.

The weather is ......
I am excited that is not going to be quite as hot this week! Even more reasons to begin digging out the fall decorations next week!
As I look out my window....
I have had the pleasure of watching two cardinals play out side my kitchen window this morning! It a little over cast.. However I do believe it will turn out to be a beautiful day!
On my reading pile.....
I have started a series on my Moms kindle! I am not even sure what the name of it is lol! However I am captivated !
I am still reading Embraced by Lysa Terkeurst. It is by far one of my favorite devotionals to date!
Movies and Shows
We went last Tuesday to see Christopher Robin! Oh my goodness it was wonderful! There were so many lessons to be learned! It is a must see for sure!
Shows.... well my all of my favorites are on break right now... so I don't really have a series at the moment!
On the Menu This week....
Monday Chicken casserole and green beans.
Tuesday Hot dog dinner at the church
Wednesday - Friday Out of town
In the craft basket....
I have been working on my 18 inch doll house... I am more inspired to write when things are in order so I am trying very hard to get things that way.
still working in loom knitting some dish cloths.
Happening this week...
Today will be the most laid back day I will have all week! tomorrow our church is giving a local pregnancy crisis center a baby shower and cook out.
We leave Wednesday morning for a leadership conference in Virginia. We will be home late Friday. Saturday we have couples meeting at the church then of course Sunday is church!
This week will be a busy one for sure! I pray I can keep up.
Looking around the house....
Its actually not bad at all! I need to tidy the floors some ...
We have some laundry to get done so we can pack, that's about it.
From the camera.....
My sweet Mommy's Birthday cake! My sister let me know she wanted a pear cake! This time we did cinnamon cream cheese frosting on top!
My Mom turns 67 this week! She is a lung cancer survivor ! She wears oxygen most always! so to see her blow out candles is a true God wink for us! We are so blessed to have her!
One of my simple pleasures....
Homemaking! I have had an amazing week of just that! I was able to spend time in the kitchen baking and it felt like heaven! I even hosted a small tea party this week! I adore having tea parties there is something so special about pulling out all of my favorite tea pieces!
Pear Cake with Cinnamon Cream Frosting
Artisan Bread
It was a huge hit
My hubby's favorite apple cake with homemade caramel glaze
My sweet girl requested this meal! I am just happy I felt up to doing it for her!
Favorite Bible verse or quote of the week...
On my prayer list...
We have several in our church who are having surgery this week! Praying for a speedy recovery! Praying for our ministry! Our oldest daughter has been really sick! I have my lupus panel drawn tomorrow! Help us pray that they are stable and my kidney function levels have came down. They have been very high and concerning the past few draws. I have been on a steroid for almost a year. if my lupus is stable I can come off of it this time! Help us pray that will be possible! Praying for all the kids who will beginning school whether its public or homeschool! I pray for safety and a great year for them
In closing....
Thank you for sharing apart of your day with me ! I hope you will stop by again! Praying you have a blessed week!
