Happy Homemaker June 10,2019

Whew! What a weekend and past week! I had another health hic-up and ended up at my pcp. High doses of steroids and antibiotics to try to ward off another hospital stay!
On a good note, high doses of steroids gives me lots of energy! So I took advantage of that energy in my craft and sewing room.
Unfortunately by Saturday night the fluid around my heart must have increased because my pericarditis pain had me up till 5am Sunday morning. So I missed church. I was not happy about that at all. Today I have felt some better and was able to get a birthday sewing present finished. Which is why I am so late getting my Happy Homemaker post up! I guess better late than never ha ha!
So thanks for stopping by and joining in with me! I am joining up with Sandra At A Diary Of A Stay At Home Mom. If you would like to join in on the fun follow the link below!

As I look out my window~
Well its dark outside! I can see the lights from passing cars going down the road. I can hear the steady rain as it falls from the sky, The water rushing against tires as cars travel down the highway!
I never thought I would say this! I am not a night person.... Sometimes however there is a much beauty at night as there is in the morning hours.

On my plate~
Lol this seems odd to type since I normally do this in the mornings! I just finished a dairy queen heath blizzard ! Oh my soul was it good!

On my bedside table~
A stack of books including devotionals, my water bottle, pain meds for the night, a bell in case I would get in trouble and need it, diffuser, a cup with highlighters and ink pens, a bowl of essential oils like peppermint, chap stick, hair bows, glasses, and a lamp. My bedside table may need to be decluttered a little lol!

On my reading pile~

Here are my new books! I am stoked to get started!

In the craft basket~
I have been working on a new doll scene for my doll house! I also have been working on some doll dresses for some of the little girls in our church! Also I want to sew some for a surprise for my besties sweet girl before a visit later in the month!

My daughter and I have been harvesting roses from my rose bushes to make rose water ! Rose water is really good for your skin! It also smells amazing!

I have really enjoyed doing some these simple things from the past with her!

What am I wearing~
Well at this point in the evening! A silk vintage nightgown! Those are my absolute favorite kinds of gowns to wear!

One of my simple pleasures~
This amazing infaltable hot tub I have mentioned here
 before!

On the Camera~
My daughter got engaged this weekend! I am so excited for her and my new son to be!

Devotion or quote for the week~

I love this ! It is so true! What I tell myself is how I will see myself and my life around me! I am tying so hard to be positive and trust Gods process no matter how hard the day maybe!

On my prayer list~
Please be in prayer for a family in our community who's 19 year old daughter was beat and thrown out of the car of the offender at our local hospital and later died from her injuries! Domestic violence is real and it seems to be effecting more and more of our young people.
Please pray for my sweet girl who is starting a new exciting journey! Of marriage and they are closing on their future home soon!
Please continue to pray for me! I have had a really nasty flare again and my blood work is showing my lupus is really active right now!

In Closing~
I am beyond blessed you chose to stop by! I really hope that each of you have an amazing week ahead!
                                   Prayerfully Yours,
                                              Shellie

  1. Congratulations on your daughter's engagement and blessings over her and your future son-in-law! Love the idea of making rosewater. I should do that with some of my own roses. I used to not like the night, but, yes, have discovered the beauty of it and actually enjoy it now...all the sights and sounds of it. There's a whole 'nother world out there to explore. I especially enjoy fireflies and night sounds (owls, crickets, frogs, etc.) Have a great week ahead and many blessings! <3

  5. Hello dear Shellie!

Congrats to your daughter!! How exciting! 🎉

And continued prayers for you to feel better Sweetie. I love seeing what you're up to with the dolls and scenes. I used to collect dolls when I was a little girl and they have always had a special place in my heart.

And I use a rosewater toner every night! I didn't make it myself though Lol Love that you're doing that. 🌹
Biggest blessings wished for the rest of your week xo
